In reply to Alex. Sorry for the very late response. Yes, it does say "three years." I'll be the first to tell you that the novels are not perfect. There are definitely some errors in both spelling and continuity. I try to smooth out the spelling errors so they aren't as messed up in translation, but the continuity ones are out of my hands.

Does Hikari really say “three years ago”? I thought the Hikarigaoka incident happened *four* years before, i.e. in 1995.

I got utterly surprised when I hit your site (I have it bookmarked to mention CD Drama info) and BANG, a new translation was waiting here!! I felt like a child for a few seconds lol!!

By the way, I love to see how important is Sora in all the story and it’s easy to notice that the Taiora really exists…at least in this novel!!!

Thanks so much! I love reading the new perspective. It also proved that I need to go back and re-watch Digimon, because now I miss the first season even more! I can’t wait to see what else the next chapter will reveal. I was surprised to learn that Jyou didn’t like Yamato at first; Yamato sure does sound cold-hearted, and reading this has made me reflect on his characterization. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to translate all this.

Thank you for translating this chapter! I’m very grateful of it. Like before, some changes are present between the anime and the novelization… This makes me wonder which is really happening for them though…
As for in this chapter, I’m really touched of the friendship Yamato and Jyou shared, in this chapter I can easily see why they’re the chosen children if friendship and sincerity / reliability (the translation difference in the japanese and english version of Jyou’s crest confuse me…)
Also, it’s kind of funny for me to imagine Gomamon came running to Gabumon crying like that.. The intro from Wizarmon’s perspective is new, which made me thought that originally, he might not be a digimon to begin with.. And I’m also curious of the book said.

I’ll be looking forward to the next chapter, reading the novelization feels nice since I’ve got different perspective than in the anime.
