I found an interview with the series director Hiroyuki Kakudou, which is all about how Yamato/Sora came to be. There’s no mention of Ken/Miyako sadly. I found that pairing just so random and unlikely that I’d really like to know what the heck they were thinking when they came up with it…

I googled it, just in case. The only result was this page. So I presume there isn’t such an interview. Even if there was, I highly doubt everyone would accept it calmly. I see people … Upset about Sora/Yamato and Ken/Miyako
And I’m one of ’em *shrugs*

I’m very curious about it myself, if only so the fandom can finally take a goddamn rest about it — but since I’ve only heard about that interview from the person above and no one’s stepped up to provide the source, I have to assume that it’s false information.

The one you mentioned about everyone using other Digieggs is from the drama cd “Michi e no Armor Shinka” which I haven’t posted yet. I believe that’s the only drama that I haven’t completed for Digimon. The interview about pairings that were meant to be I haven’t come across personally.
